Girls Under 16 victory..
I.C.D’s under 16 girls
gaelic team recorded their first win of the season this year so
far by defeating St. Eugene’s from Castlederg the venue
for this was youth sport in Omagh.
The girls got of to a great start with fantastic displays of team
work from midfield and the forward line, and from this got two
early first scores from Emma Rice and Laura Forker, both getting
a point each within ten minutes, followed by great goals from
Zoe Templeton and again Emma Rice, with no real response from
Castlederg. Other scorers in this half were Megan Bothwell (0-1)
and Emma McShane (0-2). At half time I.C.D were leading by two
points.
The second half was a different story Castlederg came back with
a vengence, scoring 2 goals and 3 points, but with great defensive
skills from Hannah Donnelly and Zexia Shillingford, I.C.D quickly
back on track with great enthusiasm from midfielders Zoe Martin
and Emma McShane, it wasn’t long before they started getting
scores again, scorers were Emma Rice (1-0), Laura Forker (0-1),
Emma McShane (0-2) and Zoe Martin (2-0).
All the girls showed fantastic displays of skill and determination
with a final score of Castlederg 3-5 and I.C.D 5-8. The girls
will now take on Strabane next week back up in Omagh. GOOD LUCK

Boys Gaelic News
The Boys U – 16 and
U – 14 teams had good victories over St. Ciarans Ballygawley
B teams. The U – 14 team qualified for the group stages
with an excellent draw against St. Patricks College.
