WHAT YOU WILL BE LEARNING ABOUT
The course provides students with opportunities to choose, use and design information and communication systems to carry out a range of tasks and to solve problems, making effective use of appropriate principles and techniques. It also provides opportunities to develop a broad and balanced experience of the range of information and communication systems and their applications and an understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
The syllabus covers the following content:
Unit 1: Tools and Applications
Unit 2: Visual Communications Technology
Unit 3 Understanding ICT systems in everyday life and its implications for individuals, organisations, society and the wider world.
HOW YOU WILL BE ASSESSED
Two controlled Assessments each worth 30%
One External Exam worth 40%
At least 40 percent of the assessment (based on unit weightings) must be taken at the end of the course as terminal assessment.
