Cross-Community Netball success for ICD.
November 28, 2014

Integrated College Dungannon Senior Netball team recently competed in the Cross-Community Netball tournament held in Fivemiletown College. Four teams from across the Tyrone area competed on the day, in what proved a well-organised and highly successful competition. The ICD girls won all of the group matches to gain their place in a final with the hosts, Fivemiletown College. The final played out to be an extremely closely fought contest with the Integrated College Dungannon girls running out eventual winners, but only after extra time was needed to separate the two teams. PE teacher, Deirdre McCarroll, highly commended the team saying 'this group of girls should feel very proud of themselves and their achievements. This is a fantastic end to their competitive netball at ICD'.

Cross-Community Netball success for ICD.
November 14, 2013

Integrated College Dungannon (ICD) Senior Netball team recently competed in the Cross-Community Netball tournament held in the Torrent Complex Donaghmore. The ICD girls finished joint of their group, beating Omagh High School's A and B teams and drawing with St Joseph's Grammar School, Donaghmore. This set up a playoff with St Joseph's Donaghmore for the gold medal position. Both teams were fully aware how close this final match was going to be as they had already played out a one-all draw in the first game of the day. At half time the Dungannon side trailed by two goals, however a huge collective team effort saw the girls pull back the two goal lead and within minutes of the restart the teams were back on level terms. The ICD girls managed to push ahead by one goal before St Joseph's once again levelled the match. However, it was the Dungannon side who took advantage of the next goal scoring opportunity as Micha Cushnahan held her nerve to drop a crucial goal through the net to pull the advantage back for ICD. St Joseph's worked extremely hard from the restart to secure possession in the scoring zone, however on this occasion, time was against them and ICD ran out the eventual winners on a score line of 6 - 5. PE teacher Deirdre McCarroll highly commended the team saying, 'This group of girls should feel very proud of themselves and their achievements. They have worked extremely hard not only this year but throughout their time at ICD'.

The ICD Panel included:

Katie Rice (Captain),Micha Cushnahan, Laura Roberts, Tess Mc Kenna, Chloe Boyd, Emily Williamson, Hannah Rice, Ashley Nesbitt, Eden Lavery, Alana Reynolds, Jordan White, Hannah Stewart.
